Aqua Metals Breaks Ground for New AquaRefinery Facility in Nevada
Today, we officially broke ground for construction of our first AquaRefinery in Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC) in McCarran, Nevada. Rather than have a bunch of hand shovels spray painted gold, we opted to have some more fun with the groundbreaking event and actually break ground with the yellow metal. It is much more fun to drive a few bulldozers than to pretend to use shovels over a sheet!
The ceremony was attended by local media and press as well as representation from Senator Reid and Senator Heller’s offices, Storey County officials, the Economic Development Administration of Western Nevada (EDAWN), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Liquid Venture Partners, Miles Construction, Wirtz Manufacturing and several other investors and business partners. It felt great to have everyone there with us who helped made this possible.
Here’s a brief video from the day:
As construction continues, we will be implementing a live construction camera for viewing on our website.
